Every tow starts with a hook fee. This flat charge covers the truck showing up and hooking your vehicle, and it includes your first mile of travel. After that first mile, we charge a set rate for every mile between your pickup spot and where the vehicle is going, whether that is a repair shop, your home, or our storage lot.
This is different from a flat "one price for everything" quote, because the honest truth is a tow from downtown Johnson City to a shop three miles away should not cost the same as a tow from Jonesborough out to Limestone. Mileage pricing means you only pay for the distance actually driven.
A Simple Example
Say your car breaks down near downtown Johnson City and needs to go to a repair shop nine miles away. That would run about $75 for the hook fee, which covers the first mile, plus eight more miles at $4.50 each, or about $36. Total: roughly $111. Longer tows, larger vehicles, or a harder recovery can raise that number, which is why we always confirm the price with you before we start.
Roadside Assistance Is Different
Jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, and the rest of our roadside services are flat rate, with no mileage added, as long as you are inside our normal coverage area across Washington County. If you are well outside that area, we will let you know about any extra travel fee before we dispatch a truck.

Vehicle Storage & Impound Information
If your vehicle is towed after an accident, a police-ordered hold, or another situation where it is not going straight to a repair shop or your home, it goes to our secure storage lot at 123 W Market St, Johnson City, TN 37604, unless you tell us otherwise at the time of the tow.
